Travis and File Sharing

The leader of the Scottish group Travis Freni Healey (Fran Healy) believes that fans who download their music for free from the web, just make the group more popular. As it turned out, the singer has nothing against the presence of Travis records on file-sharing sites. The fact that fans are actively looking for group albums on the Internet, is a proof of the relevance of Travis music.

«If someone is looking for our online music and download it, then he is our fan. - Another plus for the networking: if you made a cool record, and everyone's talking about it online, they contribute to its promotion, which in itself is very important ».

Freni also admitted that he downloaded music for free as well. «There are two camps - those who buy music, and those who do not buy. Last - is mostly teenagers, who can not pay 20 dollars for a disc. Children have the opportunity to get acquainted with new music now, and they will grow as music lovers, becoming solvent, will promote the development of the music scene in the future », - summed up the musician.

At the end of September, Travis presented to the audience a new, sixth album «Ode To J. Smith». Disc appeared online a few weeks before the release date.
